Everyday, in our environment, we will start with music, and reading a book or two in Spanish or English.

This month of February, to enhance english skills in our creative curriculum, we will have THE FARM as our main topic. For this, we we will proceed with the following order:

Week 1 – FARM ANATOMY

Week 2 – MORE FARM ANIMALS

Week 3 – FARM BENEFITS

Week 4 – THE MAKING OF A 3D FARM BOOK AND A POSSIBLE FIELD TRIP TO A FARM

To start with FARM ANATOMY, today we will learn what a BARN is!

At the same time, we will introduce one of the animals who lives inside a barn: a HORSE; through different flashcards of horses. We will also be singing farm animal songs. Then, we will end up with the making of a craft stick barn!

Vocabulary: Barn, horse, stick.

For today’s anatomy, we will learn what a CHICKEN COOP is through different flashcards!

We will introduce an animal who lives inside the chicken coop: a CHICKEN. We will also be singing farm animal songs. Then, we will end up with the making of a tissue paper chicken!

Vocabulary: Chicken Coop, Chicken

What animal lives in a PIGSTY? Today we will learn what a PIGSTY is through different flashcards!

The animal who lives in a PIGSTY is the PIG! We will continue singing farm animal songs. Then, we will end up with the making of a pig paper puppet!

Vocabulary: Pigsty, Pig, paper, puppet.

COWS are very important animals in the farm, and for the human being.

A COW lives in the PASTURE, another part in the farm anatomy. Today we will learn the meaning of a PASTURE through different flashcards, and we will finish with the making of a COW MASK.

We will keep singing farm songs to identify vocabulary and animal sounds.
